Seminal fluid examination


Laboratory investigation conducted on seminal fluid obtained by masturbation which allows to evaluate the macroscopic characteristics of spermatozoa and seminal plasma. The standard procedure involves the evaluation of the following parameters: volume, pH, appearance, fluidization and viscosity of the seminal fluid and also concentration, number, motility, sperm morphology, presence of agglutinations and any spermatogenetic cells, leukocytes, cleavage cells and corpuscles prostatic.
