Uro-andrological glossary

Complication of phimosis and consists in a more or less accentuated strangulation of the glans penis by the foreskin affected by phimosis (narrowing of the foreskin that normally covers the glans penis with flaccid penis). The feeling of 'strangulation' is clear when the foreskin is slid under the crown of the glans penis. The attempt of manual reduction is the treatment of choice, in case of failure, circumcision, associated with frenulectomy (when the frenulum is short) are the surgical procedures that can be used.
